Kittens ~

 Aww! ^^ Cute! <3

We just got some kittens a few days ago. They are absolutely darling. They're almost 6 weeks old now. =3 However..! It's not all fun in games. >.> They aren't all too fond of us humans just yet. See, their momma was technically a stray, so same with them. Their momma abandoned them because she decided to go into heat again. Sounds like the rest of the litter didn't survive. This last week has been basically their first exposure to humans. Unfortunately, it's been pretty major and at times a bit traumatizing for the poor cuties. ^^;; It's a little boy and girl.

This is Archer, the boy.

 This is Artemis, the girl.

Initially when we got them, Archer was fairly sweet and very explorative (yes, I think I just made up a word). So we named him after Captain Archer in Star Trek: Enterprise. =3 Artemis was initially a major spitfire, the little sweetheart. So we named her after the Greek Goddess of Battle. Those are why the names. But as time has gone on, Artemis has just proved to be the sweetest little darling. <3 She's wanting to be around us and okay with us. Archer, on the other hand, is a rebellious little fellow. He hisses and growls at us at every opportunity. He doesn't like us. So every night, Artemis goes to sleep being alright and even cuddly with us. Every morning, she wakes up and we have to start over with her because her brother doesn't like us just yet (although he seems to be mellowing out a bit). He's such a little dear, though; he's doing it to protect his sister. :)

When they go to sleep, they actually will take turns standing guard for each other for a while, then they'll go to sleep at the same time when they're certain it's safe. They sleep behind the couch I sleep on. And when I'm trying to sleep...all the sudden they're up there with me, wrestling. So my sleep hasn't been as peaceful as it used to be. ;) but that's okay.

So yes, that's a bit about my new kittens. I'll likely post about them another time. ^^

 Me and the kittens. :)
